SNOW

Tell me please… why isn’t always like this in Norway?

We get snow one day, it stays for like 3 days….it starts raining, it goes away. It stays like that for 2 days before it once again starts snowing AGAIN!

Then the most amazing thing happens…. it stays for a day and then…………………………it starts raining again!!!

Damn, can’t we just please have alittle snow for once and leave it there for like a week or something?

TURN OFF THE LIGHTS!

This is a message to all you people out there who constantly leave the light on even when leaving the building.

TURN IT OFF!

Save power, save your electricity bill, let the monsters in the house get some spare time!

The monsters need to live as well, they got monster laws just like we have worker laws!

A new weekend!

Hurray it’s weekend again.

I’m just really bored, fairly low on cash, friends are low on cash, other people I know are busy….

Onlything to brighten up my day is the fact that my niece is turning 3 years old today! YAY!

Actually these are both my nieces and they are just about the same age, seperated by just 2 weeks.

The luck one today is the one on the right, Linn Sofie

The other one is my other brothers youngest daughter, Anna Lea

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THEM!

My little angel nieces

Hurrah!

I think I love my job…. Why else would I say yes to stay 4 hours overtime on a friday evening!?

Crazy you say? I think it is the only logial explamation, what do you think!

Life is turning out well, Got home yesterday after a three (3) day leader training course in Oslo (in my words the "capitol" of Norway(Feel free to sing "alalalallalalalla" when thinking of Oslo as the capitol…))

Great course, good hosts, good program, nice accomodation and great food!

Expencive though, but absolutely worth the effort, if you’re going to arrangea course in Norway be sure to book into "Thon Hotel Vetre" at ASker outside Oslo

Well then, まって ね

SPRING!!!!

Yup it’s finally here….

That special time of the year…. season of joy, love and rebirth (flowers/trees…… not reincarnation!).

At this time of year I compare the calender to a big giant board of days off from work. Think about it. In Norway we got the standard holy days, easter and so on… In addition we got them local and national holidays.

1st of May…. the workers day…. what a nice day to work….. don’t you think? Okay so in the old days people fought to get this day off. They would walk in parades, scream their meanings on to everybody else, complain about sexual differences and so on……

17th of May.

Norwegian Independence day! Hurray!!!!!!!!! Now this day almost looks like a big giant day picked straight out of an old soviet parading day….. but it’s not…. We all walk around in the streets waving flags, singing songs, waving more flags, showing off nice old cars, waving even bigger flags, the children eat icecream and wave flags at the same time, people relax with realives and good friends in houses and gardens stuffed full with flags.

Yup… we love our flag…. you must have noticed that by now?

Then we have foreigners comingto Norway and not understanding a single thing of what the h*ll we are doing, no offence but by foreigners I mean Swedish people (no offence). Every year we have some swedes driving onto Norway on this, and for some strange reason they always seem to end up in the middle of a parade….WHY!?

Anyway, no matter how many times they do this, they always wonder: "What the fuck are all these people doing in the streets waving flags!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!"

Ok, by now you should get the meaning of this thread:

"FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! GET SOME INFORMATION ABOUT CULTURE AND HABITS BEFORE YOU ENTER A FOREIGN COUNTRY!!!!!!"
